Answer & Explanation
Right answer
  1. Talk to the expert about team spirit and make her understand she has to be part of the team.
  2. Ask your HR coordinator to propose a training on cultural differences to the expert.
  3. Ask the expert to share her knowledge with the team.
  4. Talk to the expert to find out why she is not actively contributing to the calls.

Explanation : The first thing to do is to evaluate the real causes (and not the effects) of the problem. One of them could be the language and asking the expert about her language knowledge might be a good starting point to identify the real problem. There are many challenges to effectively communicate in multinational project team. For one team member to successfully communicate a technical concept to another team member in a different country can involve encoding the message in the appropriate language, sending the message using a variety of technologies, and having the receiver decode the message and replay or provide feedback.
